Revenue River is looking for another SEO Strategist. We’re looking for ambitious, driven individuals with technical search engine optimization experience. You should be able to demonstrate your experience and working with clients and should be comfortable in a host of industry software platforms. A prospective team member should have a strong understanding of who we are, and what the agency life requires.

As an SEO Strategist, you will be responsible for the research, strategy, implementation, and optimization of our client’s new & ongoing organic search campaigns. You will be required to analyze performance data of client campaigns, identify opportunities for improvement, and execute plans for quantitative results. Strong assessment and strategy creation, successful pitches, ongoing review, optimization, and performance reporting will be critical components of your job role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Grow organic search traffic for a host of clients through sound execution of modern search strategies.
  • Manage both on-site and off-site SEO for a diverse host of clients.
  • Collaborate with content contributors to connect optimization strategies to new content.
  • Perform broad and long-tail keyword research for a diverse host of clients.
  • Earn relevant and authoritative inbound links for client’s websites.
  • Manage organic search engine performance and goal achievement based on on-site search term ranks, impressions, visibility, click-through rates, sessions, and conversions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes to SEO best practices with search engine algorithms, especially in regards to topic cluster creation.
  • Be able to create Schema Markup for different on-site website elements for more interactive search results.

Relevant Competencies You’ll Need For This Position

  • Thorough knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors and key algorithm updates.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics/Search Console and other keyword tools such as SEMrush.
  • Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization.
  • Basic knowledge of coding languages like HTML and CSS.

  • Manage day-to-day client interaction & manage client expectations (internal & external).
  • Effectively communicate expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a proactive manner, to adhere to campaign delivery goals.

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in marketing and SEO/SEM.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at juggling many projects at once, working cross-functionally, while never losing sight of the core message and goal behind your work.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in project management, website optimization, and marketing software.
  • Demonstrate the ability to track campaign performance across multiple channels.
  • Ability to set and run an agenda, lead pointed conversations, and keep clients on task.
