Description
You will be joining the world’s leading data and insights provider for the alternative assets market. We empower the global financial community with critical information and leading analytics solutions to help them make faster and smarter investment decisions, and to make them with confidence. A forward-thinking company, we lead our industry through innovation. We trust in the power of data, and we use it to increase transparency in alternatives. We believe that access to information leads to more investment in the ideas and infrastructure that build strong communities. Job overview: This is a critical hire for our newly created Benchmarks Business Unit. The Benchmarks Business Unit has been created to consolidate the unique data, technology, analytics and expertise that exists across the firm to strengthen Preqin’s position as the leading Benchmark provider in the Alternatives Markets across performance, asset level, term intelligence and ESG benchmarks. This role will focused on driving proprietary data contributions from private equity firms, hedge fund managers and other types of alternative asset managers. Alternative assets, unlike public markets, are typically very opaque given the limited regulatory requirements to publicly report on fund performance. This is what makes data about these funds incredibly valuable to investors looking to invest into these funds. We are seeking a talented, hands-on and innovative Product Manager to join our growing product team and lead the acquisition, timeliness and retention of voluntary data contributors amongst alternative asset managers, and making this data available for application in the wider Preqin business. In this role, you will leverage your experience from leading SaaS or Financials Services companies to bring cutting-edge product management and growth strategies to our industry. The role will sit within our Benchmarks Business Unit and report to the Head of Product. In this role you will: Optimise Conversion Funnels: Lead the analysis and optimization of acquisition and retention for Private Markets General Partners contributing their performance data to our database, applying industry best practices to drive accuracy, efficiency and timeliness. Conduct Top of Funnel Outreach: Develop and execute innovative outreach strategies to attract new proprietary data contributors. Fully optimize value from the data we already hold: Work with Colmore, our Investor Services business, to identify and execute against opportunities with GP data contributed via their platform. Build Usage Habits: Implement strategies to foster usage habits and ensure Private Market General Partners consistently self-contribute timely and accurate performance data. Analyse Usage Data: Leverage data analysis techniques to extract deep insights from user behavior and conversion metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making at its finest. Run User Testing and Feedback Sessions: Champion a user-centric approach by utilizing a mixture of user interviewing and low-code tests to assess new approaches and validate your assumptions. Drive Rapid Prototyping: Collaborate with our talented team of designers and engineers to rapidly prototype and implement changes using the latest tools and technologies. You are a good fit if: • Mid to senior level B2B Product Manager with a proven track record of driving growth and optimizing conversion funnels in high-quality SaaS or Financial Services companies. • Expertise in advanced data analysis, user testing, and direct outreach techniques. • Proficiency in the latest rapid prototyping and product development tools. • Strong industry knowledge or a strong willingness to rapidly gain expertise in the alternative assets sector. • Ability to partner well across teams and influence other areas of the business with a collaborative approach • A passion for innovation and the ability to apply innovative strategies to drive results. • A keen understanding of business strategy (e.g. understanding what messaging and incentives might be attractive to a private equity firm) • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders Company Benefits: • The opportunity to work within and develop your career in a very well-regarded international organisation in a fast-growing sector. • Subsidised Private Medical Insurance via BUPA, after successful completion of 3 months should you wish to. • Interest-free season ticket loans on completion of probation. • A pension plan under auto-enrolment which currently requires a minimum employee contribution of 5% of annual salary. This is matched by an employer contribution of 4%. You can opt to contribute more should you wish to. After your 1-year service with the company the employer contribution will be enhanced to match your contribution up to a maximum of 10% of your pensionable earnings. This means that if you are contributing the minimum contribution of 5%, after your 1-year service, Preqin will automatically uplift the company contribution to 5% of annual salary. • Cycle to work scheme. • Study support of up to £900 per annum for relevant business qualifications and enhanced support of up to $2,500 for CAIA. • Excellent office in London close to Victoria station and the proximity to many shops and restaurants and London’s West End. • Company-sponsored sports teams. • Winter and summer office parties and a company-funded team social budget. • Employee Book Club with weekly meetings • Culture Committee to organize in-person social events Our Culture & Company Values: Be Customer obsessed We exist for our customers.
