A newly launched, investment management firm, that has already raised >$1.5bn AUM in the last 18months are looking for a financial controller who will report directly into the COO and have a clear progression path to becoming CFO. This position will be the go-to person for all commercial strategy planning issues. Initially you will work to develop a more sophisticated budgeting/forecasting process as well as supporting with finance structuring requirements for the group. On a day-to-day basis, you shall manage the outsourced accountants and cover month end duties across the PE and hedge fund entities. Long term, the role will cover a range of operational risk responsibilities and top-level strategic work (setting up new lines of business, jurisdictions and modelling the financial impact of potential investment strategies) with the view of growing into a COO or CFO position. For this they are looking for a highly intelligent and ambitious candidate with experience working within a buy-side/investment environment. You should be a qualified accountant with an aptitude for leading on projects and driving positive change. The firm is offering a generous base and frequently pays 80% bonus for top performers across back and front office.
