Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Quantitative Programmer to join our credit trading team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analysing market data, designing and implementing algorithmic trading solutions, and working closely with traders and other technical teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our trading strategies. We are looking for an individual with a passion for problem-solving and creating innovative solutions to join our credit trading team, with strong knowledge of financial markets and understanding of credit. Your focus will be on designing a new solution for trade idea generation. You will help the investment management team drive process innovation through identifying opportunities to incorporate data analytics and machine learning into our processes. You will be developing and implementing the technical architecture, identifying useful data sets, technologies and developing advanced trading tools. You will be expected to implement new automated solutions to existing trading methods and enrich them with creative new ideas. The role will include modelling and back testing strategies, parameter optimisation, production reconciliation relative to models and reporting of results. You will be a critical part of making this vision a reality using the latest technology, languages, tools and frameworks. Key Responsibilities Collect and analyse market data from various sources, including both public and proprietary data feeds. Develop and maintain databases and software tools for storing and analysing data, including machine learning models and other quantitative techniques. Collaborate with traders and other technical teams to design and implement algorithmic trading strategies that incorporate the latest research and technology. Monitor and optimize trading strategies to ensure they are performing effectively and efficiently. Conduct regular research and analysis of market trends and developments to inform trading strategies and identify new opportunities. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in trading technology and quantitative finance, and actively contribute to the knowledge and expertise of the team. Qualifications Bachelor's or advanced degree (2:1 or above) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Can include current students also. Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or other relevant languages. Experience working with large data sets, financial data and quantitative techniques, including machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis. Experience with applying statistical methods to model behaviours and make predictions in an academic or professional environment Familiarity with financial markets, particularly credit trading, and a solid understanding of trading strategies and risk management. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
