Position MIO’s Client Service team is seeking a highly motivated Client Service Specialist (CSS) to join our global team. The position is based in London, UK. This is a client-facing opportunity that entails providing investor relations support to MIO clients worldwide, which include McKinsey Partners and former Partners and their immediate family members. Further, the role entails investment operations support for MIO’s non-US investment products and supporting internal project management. The CSS will report to the Client Service Manager who is based in Munich, Germany. Primary responsibilities Investment Offering Support & General Investor Relations The CSS will share responsibility for the administration of the offering process for MIO’s hedge fund and private market funds and for responding to general inquiries from Partners and third parties. Tasks may include: Review offering-related material from investors and assist with completion of required forms Liaise with MIO Advisory team on investor suitability and with MIO Compliance on investor eligibility particularly for entity investors Review and maintain investor account compliance, coordinating with clients, administrators, and MIO Compliance, while maintaining MIO’s client database Liaise with MIO Finance team and third parties to ensure investor transactions are processed efficiently Answer investor questions regarding balances, transactions, fund performance, or other MIO fund-related inquiries Investment Operations & Project Management The CSS will support the team with the administration and investment operations around MIO’s Non-U.S. investment (“feeder”) products and with internal project management, such as: Support with setting up processes around new fund launches Preparing and coordinating investor communication Assisting with the collection of data for regulatory filings Liaise with MIO Finance and external third parties for transaction and balance reconciliation Engage closely with IT team on development of investor-facing and internal Client Service applications Desired background At least 2-4 years of work experience in client service, investor relations, or similar client-facing role Good project management skills for planning and driving internal projects An undergraduate degree or a background in finance/investments/financial compliance Strong computer skills, particularly skilled in Microsoft Excel A basic understanding of investments and financial markets Natural intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance and investor relations Business fluent in English, other languages are a bonus The successful candidate will Possess an extremely high service-orientation, be detail oriented, and very organized Show strong skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication Have integrity, discretion, and maturity when working with sensitive financial matters Be a team player who places the interests of the organization and clients first and is accustomed to multitasking in a readily changing environment while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability MIO is an equal opportunity employer.
