The Regulatory control team was formed in September 2015 to bring together the various operational functions performing regulatory related activities. The department is staffed with experienced personnel, who have performed several roles in Operations and have extensive product and operational process knowledge. The team members are encouraged to challenge processes and to work in partnership with other functions to enable the delivery of regulatory reporting within the required timeframe. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To support the daily transaction monitoring and for all regimes that MUFG Securities EMEA, MUFG Securities (Europe), MUFG Bank Ltd London/Paris & MUFG Bank (Europe) has reporting obligations to. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Daily Monitoring of Transaction Reporting flows across multiple regimes (MiFID II / EMIR / CFTC/ SBSD/ CSA /HKMA/ ASIC / Front Office supervision) - Daily Resolution of rejections and failures including raising change requests for systems - Reconciliations between source systems and TR / ARM - Production of MIS and Dashboard Reporting - Maintaining issues logs - Reporting of potential regulatory breeches - Oversight of outsourced tasks - Actively in Engage in Regulatory Reporting Projects and remediation plans - Perform control functions and support the supply of Management information for formal committees - Ensure completion of daily controls to minimize Operation Risk WORK EXPERIENCE Essential: - Minimum of 2 years in Operations - Cross Operational function experience (Securities and/or OTC transaction processing) - Cleared trade process - Proficient with core Microsoft desktop software - Working knowledge of Intellimatch - Working knowledge of TriOptima product. - Strong Functional knowledge of operations and trade life cycles - Strong Analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to work to tight deadlines - Essential to have a good working knowledge of DTCC transaction reporting portal and OTC product knowledge. - Essential to have a good working knowledge of MiFID II transaction reporting requirements - Essential to have a good working knowledge of MiFID II ARM and PTT vendor packages for reporting - Essential to have a good working knowledge of SFTR Reporting and vendor packages for reporting Preferred: - Understanding of Repo business and familiarity with support systems (APEX, Pirium) - Familiarity with HKTR reporting regime. - Understanding of transaction reporting in the Netherlands - Understanding of FpML and reporting message construction - EMIR Portfolio Reconciliation experience - MUREX user experience SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Functional / Technical Competencies: Essential - Understanding transaction lifecycles - Reconciliation knowledge - Proficient with core Microsoft desktop software - Good Communication skills- written and oral - Familiar with Operations systems - Exposure to Trade and Transaction Reporting - Settlement or Trade Support experience Education / Qualifications: Essential - A Level or above PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS - Excellent communication skills - Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability - A proactive, motivated approach. - The ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly - Strong decision making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgement - A structured and logical approach to work - A creative and innovative approach to work - Excellent interpersonal skills - The ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - A calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurized environment - Strong numerical skills - Excellent Microsoft Office skills We are open to considering flexible working requests in line with organisational requirements.
