Description
We are working exclusively with a prestigious hedge fund who have offices in NY and London, helping them secure a Senior Fund Controller. The role is incredibly broad and covers all aspects of fund accounting across their 3 flagship strategies. It will be responsible for managing and enhancing and investor reporting, as well as analysing and presenting performance data for board meetings. When they launch new funds or managed accounts, this position will play a key role in efficiently structing and onboarding. They outsource a large portion of the fund accounting, so this will work with the larger team to review and prepare shadow NAV calculations for each investment vehicle. They are continuously looking to streamline processes and would encourage any automation/systems/process improvement projects. The firm attracts some of the top talent across the alternative investment space and hence are looking for an ambitious and highly competent qualified accountant with a strong academic record. The right candidate will be confident with fund accounting for an alternative investment fund (hedge fund/private equity/private credit) and should have strong technical skills (excel/data visualisation tools/accounting systems). The firm will be prepared to offer a substantial increase in base salary for the right candidate and offer bonuses at 40 – 60%. Unlike many hedge funds, they offer flexible working, with 3 days a week in the office. They have excellent benefits and unbeatable retention across the whole business.
