Albany Beck is an award-winning consultancy specialising in Technology, Risk and Compliance primarily within Financial Services. We work with top tier Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds and Fintechs. We are currently hiring an enthusiastic Junior Consultant to join one of our large Investment Banking clients to explore investment opportunities within the digital asset ecosystem. This role involves conducting industry research, identifying opportunities, sourcing deals, and providing support to the investment team during deal execution. Responsibilities: Build the investment pipeline by identifying market trends, tracking competitors, and mapping opportunities in various digital asset sectors of interest. Identify and articulate investment themes, contributing to due diligence (business, financial, technical, corporate, etc.) on potential investments. Prepare comprehensive investment memos for the investment committee and other internal stakeholders. Develop financial models as necessary during the investment due diligence process. Evaluate investments using instruments such as SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity), SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Token), equity, convertible notes, and equivalents. Contribute to ecosystem building by publishing internal and external newsletters, research reports, and participating in local events. Skillset required: Genuine interest and knowledge of crypto trends impacting financial services, capital markets, and Web3. Relevant work and internship experience in venture capital, investment banking, or a startup/technology business. Native understanding of crypto and related concepts (blockchain, stablecoin, bitcoin, ethereum, Layer 2, DAO, etc.) BSc Qualified
