OCR Alpha is currently working with a leading global multi-start hedge fund, his fast growth fund is on an extremely positive growth trajectory - they're currently looking to add a senior Compliance professional to head up their Dubai Compliance office. The firm have had exemplary performance over the past 5 years and are in growth mode and are naturally expanding their global compliance team. This pivotal role involves leading our clients Dubai compliance office within a leading global multi-asset hedge fund, the new hire will be the key compliance professional in the region, feeding into, and continually collaborating with the funds global compliance team. We are seeking a candidate with substantial DFSA experience, particularly within multi-manager or multi-strategy environments, preferably with prior Buy-side Experience. Responsibilities Include: Maintenance of DFSA Compliance Policies and Procedures: Lead the development and maintenance of robust compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with DFSA regulations within our prestigious global multi-strategy hedge fund. Advisory Role: Provide strategic guidance to the business and collaborate closely with the global Chief Compliance Officer on emerging regulatory developments, enabling proactive measures. Direct Communication with DFSA: Act as the primary liaison for all DFSA-related matters, ensuring seamless communication, filings, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Filings and Disclosures: Oversee and manage all necessary filings and disclosures, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in alignment with the hedge fund's global operations. Employee/PA Trading Compliance: Implement and monitor compliance protocols related to employee and personal assistant trading activities in accordance with the hedge fund's policies. Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of direct experience working with the DFSA, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of its regulations and requirements within the hedge fund industry. Proven track record in managing compliance functions and fostering adherence to regulatory standards within a dynamic hedge fund environment. Previous exposure to multi-strategy or multi-manager hedge funds would be highly advantageous, showcasing an understanding of complex compliance challenges in this space. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders on a global scale. Base and Bonus will be highly competitive and dependant on candidate experience.
