Description of the Business Line or Department FSS is the advisory arm of the Sales (SLS) group within SG Global Markets. The mission statement is to provide the generation of differentiated trade ideas, unique implementations and hedging solutions across asset classes for hedge funds, global macro, asset managers and institutions. Summary of the key purposes of the role Responsible for: Producing Content: Work in conjunction with Trading, Pricing, QIS and Sales to push trade ideas that may appear attractive from both a macro and/or volatility arbitrage standpoint. Marketing: Client interactions via meetings / roadshows / conferences, potentially in coordination with Sales, Trading, and Research. Based in London Dynamic environment Summary of responsibilities Product responsibilities: Produce, update and maintain screeners which aim to provide information on various market parameters, which can be used for trade idea generation. Contribute and provide clear macroeconomic rationale that can help assist trade idea generation. Develop innovative and value-adding approaches, both for collecting data and for analysing it, in order to provide clients with input that adds value to their thought process. Build, update, replace and utilise financial models and scripts, which either help to describe relevant parts of the business environment allowing for forecasts, or allow for the back testing and optimisation of trade ideas; all whilst ensuring the modelisation process and outcome is to the highest professional standards. Help assist the team in responding to client requests; analyse, investigate, research, manage and resolve queries received from clients. Make sure to take into account findings of Research teams that are "upstream" (e.g., Economists for Equity analysts), and to fully leverage the findings of teams that are "peer", developing whenever possible SG specific Cross Asset franchise. Marketing responsibilities: Help communicate the team's published findings/ideas to internal and external clients, via calls, messages, one-to-one meetings, video-conferences or conferences, through the production marketing material which clearly and concisely present the team's work. Based on the research and analysis work, prepare and publish, regularly and whenever necessary, documents that update clients on developments on the subject area covered, and that highlight key points. Help organise, host and provide accurate minutes for the morning meeting attended by the Equity Sales and Research divisions. Ensure that all available feedback is captured electronically and available for further analysis.
