We maintain Hummingbot, the leading open-source crypto trading bot project with 100+ stars, 700+ forks, and 30,000+ installs.


Documentation is critically important for open source projects since education and training is the main way that we grow the user base. We are looking for a Technical Writer to take ownership of the Hummingbot documentation process and contribute to our other resources.


What you’ll be doing



  • Own the Hummingbot documentation site (https://docs.hummingbot.io)

  • Collaborate with engineers to understand changes they are making to the open-source codebase

  • Write documentation aimed at both trader users and developer users

  • Mentor junior staff on technical writing

  • Be part of the core team and make a significant impact in a fast-growing, VC-backed blockchain startup


You're a great fit if you have:



  • 3+ years of experience writing documentation for complex software applications

  • Experience creating developer-facing documentation (e.g. code samples, architectural diagrams, etc)

  • Experience using Terminal/Bash, Github, and Docker



  • Good composition and grammar skills

  • Experience with quantitative trading or cryptocurrencies

  • High attention to detail
