My client are one of the leading hedge funds in the world, rapidly building out its presence in Europe (London). They pride themselves on running a very flat structure, encouraging people to undertake qualifications and to develop their technical skills in areas beyond their BAU remit. – they have rock-bottom attrition across its global offices. We are hiring a newly created senior trade support position. The main aspects of the role include facing off to portfolio managers, managing PB relationships, automating BAU tasks, client onboarding, trade life cycle management and value add project work. The role would suit someone who does not wish to be siloed and enjoys getting involved with a broad range of tasks. Reconciliations responsibilities do not form part of your remit (they are outsourced) - the trade support team focus heavily on performance analytics, automation work, dealing with business heads and assisting the traders that they face off to. The hire can expect to learn SQL / VBA / Python to a solid standard in this role. Progression from this role is fantastic - previous incumbents have gone on to become operations managers, some have joined the investment team and others have moved into areas such as treasury & market risk. The role can pay up to a £100k base salary and in the last bonus round the average bonus paid to London trade support staff was 70%. It must also be made clear that you will receive a sign on / guaranteed minimum bonus, so you do not miss out on any money due to the timing of the move. Exceptional benefits include free breakfast and lunch, full gym membership, the very best private medical package and a double digit non-contributory pension.
