DESCRIPTION: Duties: Perform empirical research, design prototypes for models, and implement analytics and strategies for the automation of financial data processing tools and systems. Design and analyze trading strategies to improve overall risk management. Support trading desks' daily usage and analyze their performance. Work closely with trading to build analytics and data-driven processes that automate and optimize ETF (exchange traded funds) trading quantitatively. Enhance automated client quoting capabilities for the ETF desk. Design and development of automated workflow solutions for ETF trading. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Research, Operations Research, Software Engineering, Equities Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Research, Operations Research, Software Engineering, Equities Analyst, or related occupation. Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: direct development of equities trading application such as workflow automation; communicating complex business solutions including automated booking, risk transfer, and hedging using optimal solution of stocks, futures leveraging internal liquidity, and execution algorithms; using historical data simulation and data-driven decision making to perform data analysis; software design, including development of software systems, using Object Oriented Languages such as Python, C++, or Java; manipulating and analyzing data from varying sources in Object Oriented Language; pricing analytics including risk modeling, alpha, and market insights; derivatives pricing; risk management; electronic trading; and equity markets.
