Python Quantitative Developer Systematic Hedge Fund Up to £150k base excellent bonus potential sign-on A leading systematic hedge fund, based in Central London, is looking for a highly skilled Python Quant Developer to work closely with Research and Portfolio Management teams to help implement and optimize trading signals. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter a dynamic and ever evolving work environment. Working hand in hand with the traders allowing a great deal of autonomy into the trading dynamic and alpha generation process. This position offers opportunity to have significant impact which will be adequately reflected in bonuses and increased scope of role/projects. Open to both buy and sell side with ideally five or more years’ experience in a software engineering environment. Python and an Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science is essential. Responsibilities: Collaborate with researchers/traders to build a robust, scalable research infrastructure, including alpha estimation, risk modeling, optimization, and trade execution components Developing back-testing, simulation, and trading systems (prior experience is a plus, but not a necessity) Build visualization tools and monitors for market/trade/position/risk Maintain and improve data pipelines for large-scale data processing Optimize database queries for data collection Requirements: Strong programming skills with Python (including performance optimization) Experience working with streaming and historical time series data, including a variety of messaging systems and databases Strong interest and ability in learning new languages/tools and relevant knowledge for trading Strong analytical and quantitative skills Compensation: Whilst candidate driven, compensation will be highly competitive with significant first years guarantees to reflect future earning potential.
