Description
We have an ambitious goal of implementing a next-generation payment solution to conquer Europe and operate millions of payment terminal devices. Our product will impact everyday life across the continent. At some point, when travelling across Europe, you will be proud to see people paying for purchases using a system you’ve built together with your Nets colleagues.
Your team
You will join a group of experienced developers in the Hosting team. Our task is to drive DevOps capabilities in our organization by planning processes and implementing tooling, and to maintain and develop automation for operating our cloud environments. You will participate in building a platform capable of serving a large portion of all of Europe’s card payment traffic.
We have a “can we automate this?” mindset in everything we do—delegating otherwise mundane tasks to machines frees us to use our time more productively, and at the same time, reduces risk of human error. We utilize the AWS service offering extensively, and always strive to use services that maximize development and operational efficiency.
Who you are
We’re looking for somebody who has a broad range of experience, enjoys learning new things, and contributes their own insights into shared tasks. We can offer you a team of experienced colleagues, and an environment and culture that embraces learning and sharing knowledge.
We hope that you are comfortable with:
- JavaScript / TypeScript, or are a competent programmer in general
- AWS preferably, or other cloud providers
- Infrastructure as Code and IaC tools (CDK / CloudFormation)
- Docker — we make heavy use of containers
- Linux — all of our systems run on Linux in one form or another (EC2, Fargate, Lambda)
Other useful knowledge:
- Protocols such as TCP, HTTP, WebSockets and JSON/RPC
- Basics of cryptography like TLS and certificates
- Payments and EMV
- Databases
