Full Stack Python Django Developer
Automated Capital Management is an Austin, TX based hedge fund that uses data science, quantitative models, and fundamental analysis to drive its systematic trading platform. Our mission is to produce consistent investment returns with minimal risk through a data driven, value focused, automated derivatives trading strategy.
We are looking for a Full Stack Python Developer to build the next phase of our automated trading platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for building software that trades millions of dollars worth of stocks and options on a daily basis. Integrating numerous data sources including public company financial data and real time stock pricing feeds, your code will employ statistical models and machine learning algorithms to operate a trading strategy that optimizes risk and return targets. Your development workflow will be empowered with a best practices approach including an agile methodology, test driven development, continuous integration/delivery, and solid architecture principles. This is a remote part time contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain back end trading algorithms that execute stock and options trades based on financial and statistical models
- Implement data pipelines that import and aggregate financial data from multiple data APIs
- Develop data analysis tools, reports, and dashboards to help monitor and troubleshoot system performance
- Monitor system operations to ensure smooth execution of trading and data systems
- Build web based user interfaces with Django, JS, HTML, CSS
- Troubleshoot database performance issues
- Write unit tests and integration tests to validate new features and bug fixes
- Contribute to strategy and product roadmap discussions
Requirements
- Python - 5+ years
- MySQL or Postgres - 5+ years
- Amazon Cloud (RDS, EC2, VPC, etc) - 5+ years
- Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib - 5+ years
- Django - 3+ years
- Git - 3+ years
- Agile Process - 3+ years
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Jupyter Notebooks
