If this sounds compelling, keep reading.

The Role You’ll Play

Veriforce is seeking an experienced front-end engineer to help design and develop modern web applications. He or she will join a local, growing team of talented front-end, back-end, and devops engineers, to expand the software-as-a-service offerings of Veriforce.

This position is fully remote.

Your Core Responsibilities:
  • Participate as a crucial member of a small team that delivers full-stack solutions.
  • Embrace agile principles of transparency, cooperation, and rapid iteration
  • Break complex features into manageable, reviewable, shippable pieces
  • Communicate clearly with engineers and non-engineers about what we're building
  • Uncover, diagnose and resolve issues methodically; not necessarily by trial-and-error
  • Use the tools of contemporary front-end engineering, like project boards, source control, package managers, build systems, command-line interfaces, transpilers, and network request tools
  • Understand the technologies and concepts behind what we do, like HTTP, REST, and how browsers work
  • Constructively and attentively review pull requests and have his or hers reviewed
  • Produce code that is consistent, readable, and maintainable by others
  • Write meaningful, efficient tests for important parts of an application
An excellent fit would also have:
  • A keen eye for visual design and usability
  • Experience working with microservices, React, React Native, Redux, TypeScript, and/or Material UI
  • A desire to contribute to API design
To us, experience with particular technologies is not nearly as important as critical thinking, a positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and solve problems together. That said, our front-end applications currently depend on React, Redux, TypeScript, Material UI, and Express.js
