Front End Developer - Offshore

Kunai is looking for a full-time Front-End Developer to join our team. We're a growing digital agency of 50+ people that is fully remote. During the past decade, we've shipped over 150 products for clients that include Visa, the United Nations, Wells Fargo, Ernst & Young, and TOMS Shoes. Our founders built a previous agency (Monsoon) that was acquired by Capital One in 2015.

You'll be a Developer on our Delivery Team. You will help our Development Team bring our products across the finish line for our clients to enjoy in the wild. You’ll work across {the tech stack, various industries}, tackle new skills, and show up ready for anything. Your role will be challenging, fun, and interesting.

We are looking for a Front-End developer to join our engineering team. Kunai developers are responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties.

Kunai Front End Developer will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. You will work across the tech stack, tackle new skills, and show up ready for anything. Your role at Kunai will be challenging, fun, and interesting.

Front End Developer Responsibilities

• Developing front end website architecture.
• Designing user interactions on web pages.
• Fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
• Translating and anticipating Client Requirements
• Estimation of work effort in “agile-like” environment
• Accurate maintenance of work documentation including status in Atlassian or Client required application/format.
• Providing sufficient unit test coverage of developed code before submitted for review and release.
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Front End Developer Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and Amber.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.

Front End Developer Preferred Experience:

• Developing back-end website applications.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Creating servers and databases for functionality.
• Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile platforms
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and .Net.
