DevOps Engineer

KeyBank crafts custom, powerful tools for our clients and employees, and Dev Ops Engineers help provide the tools and processes our software engineers. Be a part of our dynamic and award-winning Digital team and help us take our Digital platform to the next level.

Our Digital team custom builds Key’s Consumer Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and Account Originations apps that bring the concept of Financial Wellness and Money Management to more than 3 million people across the country and from all walks of life.

On our team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Work directly with our Senior DevOps engineer where you will help refine our current DevOps processes and tools that are used across our digital squads. Provide DevOps support and assistance to the software engineers across all of the squads within the Consumer Digital Team. (our team is organized into Tribes, with multiple ‘squads’ that have 3-5 engineers on each). Participate and provide support in our source code management and release process for all of our digital products.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the development and support of our current build system (Jenkins)
Build, manage, configure Docker Containers & virtual environments in conjunction with Enterprise DevOps.
Provide support for our source code management system (Bitbucket) to our development teams, and participate in the source code governance processes.
Assist with debugging application errors such as memory leaks, thread issues and other related problems.
Upgrade tools and software as needed in align with industry standards.
Document configuration management activities as needed.

Required Experience / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or other related field or comparable industry experience
Experience with the following tools & Technologies: Jenkins, Groovy scripts, Maven, npm, Linux, Docker, Openshift, Hystrix, Microservice Design, Java, Angular, Redis, junit, Spring (Nice to have)
Experience building & maintaining CI/CD based applications
Experience working in modern software development methodologies, Agile and Iterative methods a plus
