EMEA Tax (Private Markets) Vice President, London POSITION SUMMARY KKR is seeking a skilled and experienced tax professional to join our dynamic team in London and report directly to the EMEA Head of Tax. The tax professional will play a pivotal role in providing tax support for transactions and strategic projects across the EMEA region. RESPONSIBILITIES Transaction Support: Work with advisers to provide comprehensive tax due diligence and structuring support for potential acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and other transactions. Analyse tax implications and risks associated with various investment opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, treasury and investment professionals to structure transactions in a commercial and sustainable manner. Strategic Projects: Lead and participate in strategic tax projects to support KKR's business objectives and initiatives. Provide tax insights and guidance on new investments, fund structuring, and exit strategies. Identify opportunities for tax optimisation and efficiency enhancements within the organisation. Tax Planning and Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations across the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with local tax requirements. Review of relevant tax filings, including corporate income tax returns, VAT filings, and other relevant tax documentation. Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with external advisors, service providers, portfolio management teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, providing expert guidance on tax matters and implications. QUALIFICATIONS Professional certification such as CA, ACA, CTA, LLM, or equivalent required. Minimum of six years of relevant tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, law firm, other in-house private equity/asset management role, ideally with a focus on European M&A taxation. Strong technical knowledge of international tax principles, including transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and tax treaties. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess complex tax issues and propose practical solutions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. KKR is an equal opportunity employer.
