This individual will be a member of the Data and Analytics Control Management team. This team is part of the first line of defense and is tasked with maintaining a strong and consistent control environment by preventing, detecting, and monitoring operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. In support of operational excellence, we play a key role in meeting our client commitments. We are looking for an individual that will feel a sense of purpose and desire to be part of a team that will own the end to end data validation strategy and execution to ensure appropriate management of organizational data used to drive business performance and meet customer needs. In this newly created role, you'll ultimately be responsible for proactively evaluating the integrity of organizational data by designing and executing data-driven test plans that evaluate the risks associated with data management, which includes but is not limited to, data quality, data use, and data protection. This will require the individual to design, formulate, and execute complex test cases against our datasets and repositories that are used for business decisions and outcomes. This individual will also be expected to be a change agent by influencing control design enhancements based on testing results and root cause analysis. Job Responsibilities : Partnering with cross functional teams to understand how organizational data is used and areas and projects that present emerging risks. Analyzing complex business processes and requirements to create test cases aimed at evaluating risks associated with CCB data and organizational data sets. End to end ownership from creation to execution of automated test scripts using software programs to meet the requirements of the test cases. Communicating testing status, results, and business process improvement ideas to leadership. Maintaining a repository of repeatable test scripts that can be leveraged for future risk assessments. Collaborating with Data Owners, Data Scientists, and Product Teams to leverage automated test scripts to create a best in class data assessment program and control environment. Contributing to the establishment of standards and procedures for automated control testing. Providing guidance and oversight to junior members on the team. Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities: 8 years of MIS, data science, business intelligence engineering, or quantitative Audit experience. Advanced experience in query languages such as Python, SQL, and SAS. Curious about ways to improve operational and control processes by challenging the status quo through a proactive approach. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as an effective communicator and presenter who is able to flex between strategic, big-picture conversations and tactical items for varying audiences . Extensive knowledge of software testing principles, tools, methods and processes that detect the presence of inadequacies in data. Experience creating automated and repeatable test scripts using software programs. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional relationships and work closely with stakeholders across the business to influence outcomes, sometimes without formal authority. Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
