Job Summary: We are working with an impressive Hedge Fund who are looking to add a 5 years Credit Analyst to join their distressed debt team. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive research and due diligence on special situations, distressed assets, and turnaround opportunities. Analyse and assess the financial performance, market conditions, and potential risks and rewards associated with each special situation, considering factors such as cash flows, market trends, and legal considerations. Develop and execute financial models, cash flow projections, and investment valuations to evaluate the feasibility and potential returns of investments. Identify and pursue opportunities for value creation plans to maximise the value of distressed or under performing assets. Collaborate with legal advisors, investment banks, and other external partners to ensure a smooth transaction process and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyse the performance of existing special situations investments, tracking key performance indicators and identifying potential issues or opportunities for optimisation. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting distressed assets, providing timely updates and recommendations to the team. Prepare investment presentations, reports, and other materials to effectively communicate investment opportunities and updates to internal stakeholders and potential investors. Qualifications: c.5 years of experience in special situations, restructuring, or leveraged finance In-depth knowledge of the industry. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. CFA a plus. Strong financial modelling and Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Detail-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced settings. Passion for special situations and proactive teamwork.
